This Bob Mathias print is one of Four Fine, Rare, Vintage Sports lithograph prints by freelance comic artist Robert A Boyajian (1922 - 2012) for Hercules Co. ca. 1952. The title on the back states: “The Vintage Year for Hercules and sports in America.” This 15 x 12 framed print is titled on the front "Bob Mathias wins 2nd gold medal in decathlon event at Helsinki, 1952" and is numbered 28/150 and signed in pencil by the artist. The other three sports lithographs are titled as follow: (2) “Slammin' Sam” Snead wins his 2nd Masters at Augusta in 1952", (3) "Rocky Marciano defeats Joe Walcott for Heavyweight Championship in September,1952", (4) "Los Angeles Rams defeat Cleveland Browns for 1952 National Football League Championship". This Bob Mathias print is for sale; If you are interested in any of the other three they will be listed separately. This signed and numbered, rare Hercules illustrated print is in very good vintage condition and as seen in the pics. What a great find for the vintage and antique sports art collector!
