Antique Carved Amethyst Stone Lamp w/Stone Bird Finial 24"
This piece has been in the family for years. It had a silk shade shaped like a pagoda but the silk disintegrated and the shade itself was damaged beyond repair during a move.
Im guessing about a lot here. I THINK the stone is amethyst or ametrine (citrine and amethyst) or someone else thinks it could be fluorite. Whichever it is, its fabulous. The pull chain has 2 rose quartz beads hanging on it.
There is a compartment that holds a bulb and thats just below the metalwork above the stone. It looks like a piece is missing that would have covered that section above the light bulb compartment, like a cap. See the last picture--I marked where the compartment is and where there might be a piece missing that would sit on top of that.
The finial could have been repaired. I outlined a section where I see what could be a very good repair. See the last photos
It needs to be rewired for use.
Measurements are 24" tall from the gorgeous finial. About 5.5 inches wide at the metal and wood base. This lamp weighs 4lbs 8 ounces.
I didnt find chips, but please look closely and ask any questions. I want you to be happy with it and I dont want to risk it being damaged in a return.
