Frosted crystal statuette by Lalique, Chrysis model, presenting the mythological character kneeling and bending back with her hair blowing in the wind. Chrysis, "legendary beauty" in Greek mythology and symbolic of the Art of René Lalique, evokes grace, sensuality and femininity. A piece that has become iconic since its creation in 1931.

Model created by René Lalique on March 21, 1931.

Also known as a radiator cap/mascot. A symbol of luxury and prestige in the 1930s, René Laliques famous mascots adorned the grilles of the most prestigious vehicles.

Signed Lalique France. Original proof engraved on the base.
