This is an amazing set of 27 antique Au Bon Marché  of PARIS fabric samples. They date from 1928 which we can see from the torchon sample card. They come complete with the original envelope in which they were posted.

Here we have a wonderful selection of silks, satins, cottons, damasks, wool and even linens for household textiles.

Each sample is labelled Aristide Boucicout (the founder of Le Bon Marché) and with the width of the fabric and the price per metre. The reverse has an image of the store.

The samples are all in excellent antique condition. The fabrics are all still bright and beautiful.

A fabulous piece of textile history to add to a collection and another superb antique French find from La Belle Êtoffe.
